Since 2004, DJ Tank has enjoyed the privilege of providing professional musical entertainment to celebrate memorable events. From weddings to birthday celebrations, graduations to pool parties and just about anything in between, he enjoys showings his range in providing the musical background for unforgettable moments. Influenced by the music of the 80’s, the origins of Hip Hop and a general love of music, DJ Tank has taken this love and has transformed it into Battalion Records & Entertainment company. “When I was growing up, I was heavily influenced by early hip hop and the end of the disco era and the presence of the DJ. The emcees were important, but they needed the DJ to provide the beat. After the emcees were done, the party had to continue, so the DJ kept everything going. There was power in the beat!” Some of his personal influences and favorites include: DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jam Master Jay, Joe Cooley, Mr. Cee, Preemo, DJ Scratch, Maseo, Cutmaster Cool V, DJ QBert, Kid Capri, DJ Ready Red and the incomparable late DJ Screw.
